Elon Musk introduces Twitter Monetization Avenues for Content Creators

The most recent user-centric redesign seeks to increase follower engagement and generate new income sources on the social media network.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed that producers on the social media site can now sell their material, adding to a growing number of radical reforms to enhance Twitter’s bottom line and foster citizen journalism.

Since Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, the firm has taken a number of extreme steps to become a viable business, including major layoffs and the launch of Twitter Blue subscriptions. While many previously verified Twitter users objected to the request for a monthly subscription to obtain a blue checkmark, Musk regarded it as a much-needed income source for the firm.

The current user-centric redesign, which allows users to monetize all types of postings on Twitter internationally, aims to increase follower engagement and provide new income streams on the social media site.

Twitter’s “Subscriptions” function enables users to charge followers a monthly fee “from one of the price points made available by Twitter.” After paying, customers have access to unique content from the author that is not available to the general public.

Twitter will enable creators to keep 97% of income up to $50,000 in lifetime earnings before reducing the revenue split to 80% for artists. To pay out artists on Twitter, the social media behemoth has collaborated with payments processor Stripe.

However, income sharing will not begin until users reach the $50 requirement. The membership services are non-refundable, even if a creator’s Twitter account is suspended for whatever reason. In such cases, users must actively unsubscribe to avoid auto-monthly payments to dormant Twitter accounts.

Many Crypto Twitter users who have built a reputation and a large following over the years welcomed the launch of content creator subscriptions with open arms.

Musk’s current efforts to rebuild Twitter would supposedly include the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to detect and prevent disinformation on the social media network.

Despite warning the globe against AI research owing to social problems, Musk allegedly acquired roughly 10,000 graphics processing units to construct the next AI technologies.
